Housing & Support
MiCAP Housing and Support has been formed to address the needs of a diverse range of support and provide the highest quality housing that exceeds the governments “Decent Homes” standard through supporting social housing needs and requirements.

The MiCAP board and its Management Team aim to ensure that they deliver their key aims and strategic objectives outlined.
This ensures the organisation achieves a manageable level of growth and financial sustainability whilst ensuring that the field based team deliver outstanding support and the highest possible standard of accommodation across the UK.
MiCAP Housing and Support is a new entry within this sector and the executive team bring a depth and breadth of experience, expertise and passion. This ensures that a robust infrastructure is put in place and solid foundations are laid to ensure that we become a market leader and benchmark in supported housing and support for vulnerable groups.
Investment In Our Infrastructure
We implement the leading UK Housing Management System to ensure we create a robust organisation, deliver and record all compliance elements and create dynamic and relevant management reports to analyse and review our housing portfolio. Our system works in parallel with Xero financial software. Across these two platforms we are able to monitor specific outcomes and ensure person-led impact is achieved through our innovative and dynamic support.
Developing Partnerships
We have developed unique partnerships for our innovative and person led support programmed which underpins our strength-based model; ensuring that we reach our key goal to ensure that each person can thrive independently.

Strategic AIMS
To exceed expectation in providing solutions to supported housing throughout the United Kingdom year on year.
Working In Partnership
By fostering meaningful and transparent partnerships with Local Authorities, Funders, Housing Associations and Support Agencies, we are extremely well positioned to deliver to our strategic plan. The combination of open and effective communication, efficient operations, person led delivery and support, along with timely and accurate reporting enables MiCAP Housing and Support to deliver on our promises as the valued benchmark in the Housing Support sector.

Delivering Decent Homes Standard
MiCAP Housing and Support provides accommodation to the decent homes plus standards and takes full responsibility for refurbishing and maintaining all of our properties across the portfolio to the highest standard.
It is critical to our values at MiCAP Housing and Support that our tenants live in safe homes and we ensure this by thoroughly inspecting each property every quarter. Any works that need completing are discussed with our tenants and added to our planned maintenance programme, or repaired urgently according to need.
MiCAP Housing and Support has a clear and comprehensive Property Standards Guide and this outlines every element of the refurbishment alongside the government’s Decent Homes Standard. In line with the government’s agenda to achieve Net Zero by 2050, MiCAP responds by developing a clear strategy to achieve Net Zero by 2030 and will continue to monitor and analyse the commitment to this goal.
Property Design
Any design proposals are discussed with our stakeholders and tenants where appropriate and/or possible. All works have Building Control and Planning Approval Certification as and where required.

Net Zero
The social housing sector is facing a significant challenge. The clock is ticking, not only to meet net zero carbon by 2050, but also to achieve a C rating on Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) across all homes by 2030.
The volume, type, age and current efficiency of the UK’s social housing portfolio means an enormous retrofit operation will be required to meet these targets. These targets sit against a landscape of tightening fire safety regulation and cladding retrofit in the wake of the Grenfell tragedy, whilst the housing crisis means the foot needs to stay firmly on the pedal in the delivery of new affordable homes.
MiCAP Housing and Support is committed to supporting all considerations to maintain the aim in achieving the NET ZERO targets by 2030.
The standard of accommodation we offer are of the highest standard and beyond Decent Homes Plus and we are ahead of the curve with regard to Net Zero.
Compliance & Governance
MiCAP has clear objectives and comprehensive plans to develop the highest standard of housing and specific levels of support for vulnerable people. We have a comprehensive suite of Standards and Policies that govern the housing and support. The Executive Board meets regularly to review performance, compliance and strategy both operationally and financially.
MiCAP Group – The Organisation
The Executive Board bring a wealth of experience to MiCAP and their passionate commitment to supporting and housing vulnerable people has driven them to set up MiCAP Housing and Support.
As the organisation grows and MiCAP acquires more properties the business will ensure measured growth and clear operational gearing to ensure consistency in delivery and financial sustainability.
We fully support our partners, housing associations, care providers and local authorities in achieving a very transparent aim in resolving the social housing shortage throughout the United Kingdom.
